Full DescriptionNusa Penida offers towering cliffs above the raging sea, white sand beaches, great snorkelling and crystal clear waters. Take a snorkelling safari to explore the rich underwater life at some of the island's best spots:
Manta Point.A spot in a rocky cove in the south-west of Nusa Penida. People come here to swim with manta rays, good-natured giants whose fins can reach up to five metres. The stingrays swim into the bay to feed on plankton, floating gracefully in the water currents and allowing people to watch them at close range. It is also home to a wide variety of reef sharks, crabs, moonfish and many other marine life.
Turtle point. An offshore spot on the west side of Nusa Penida. This is the only spot on the entire island where you have a chance of encountering green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles. Snorkelling here is an amazing opportunity to watch these unperturbed creatures go about their business, allowing tourists to accompany them.
Gamat bay.A spot in a picturesque bay in the west of Nusa Penida. The sea here is generally calm, but there are strong currents. The water is clean and clear, and the underwater landscape is as clear as the palm of your hand. Visitors come here to snorkel amongst gardens of coral and an incredible variety of colourful reef fish.
